We offer a simple return policy:
• We accept returns for a refund (minus shipping fees).
• Contact us within 5 days of receipt of order to obtain authorization and directions for returning. Ship item back within 7 days of receipt of return authorization. Returns accepted after 7 days will be processed as a shop credit. No refunds will be given for unauthorized returns or refused packages.
• Item must be unworn, undamaged, with all jewelry tags still attached, and in its original packaging.
• Ship item back by USPS First Class Mail with Tracking. Save mailing receipts, tracking numbers, and consider purchasing insurance for added protection against lost packages.
• Refund (less shipping fees) will be issued within 7 days.

• If you ordered the wrong length on a made-to-order chain item, you can send it back to us and we will extend or shorten it for you.
• Although purchases are non-refundable after the return period has passed, if your made to-order-chain item breaks under normal wearing conditions, and you notify us within 90 days from the purchase date, we are happy to repair the item free of charge. Contact us first, and we will give you instructions for returning it to us. We'll repair your chain and get it back to you in a timely manner!

• We ship Monday through Friday & occasionally on Saturdays.
• Domestic (U.S.) packages are shipped USPS First Class Mail with Tracking. Upgrades to Priority and Priority Express are available at checkout. Note: USPS upgrades reduce the shipping time, but will not necessarily reduce our processing time. Message us prior to ordering to inquire if we are also able to offer faster processing.
• International packages: USPS First Class shipping with customs declaration and tracking. Priority Mail is available upon request.
• Let me know within 3 days of delivery if there is a problem or damage to your order.
• Lost Packages: 20 days U.S. domestic packages; 40 days International packages.

• If you are sending a gift directly to the recipient, we will package your items in individual boxes with bow, and can include a personal message along with the gift. Just leave us instructions at check out.
•No prices or purchase receipts will be included in gift packages. Order invoices will be emailed directly to the purchaser.

GOLD PLATED CHAIN
The durability of a gold plated chain depends upon the initial thickness of the layer of gold that is deposited on the base metal. For this reason, our gold chains are plated with a thick layer of gold, ranging from 25 mils to 75 mils thick depending on the style and size of the chain base metal. We find these thicknesses to be extremely durable. With normal wear and care, our gold plated chains should maintain their authentic gold outer layer for many years. All of our plating is done in the USA.

RHODIUM PLATE CHAIN
Rhodium is a member of the platinum group of metals and is silver-hued, highly reflective and does not tarnish or corrode. It is harder than gold and is highly durable. Because rhodium is a brittle metal which is not easily shaped or formed, it cannot be made into jewelry on its own. However, Rhodium is an ideal material when used as a plating on other metals. Because of its hardness, rhodium plating is used to increase the durability, luster and light reflection of a piece of jewelry and is scratch resistant. Rhodium plating has the appearance of white gold. Unlike white gold, which often contains nickel in its alloys, rhodium contains no nickel which makes it an ideal material for people with skin sensitivities.

• Please pay attention to sizing of items: Photos in listings are enlarged in order to show details of the item. However, actual width measurements of chains are always included in the item description. I also use everyday items (my hand, a ruler, coins) as reference for size in most photos. Please contact me if you would like additional product information or photos.
• Most chains will be made within 1/16" to 1/8" of the requested length. Some chains with longer individual links may be as much as 1/2" longer than the ordered size because of the larger link length. Contact me if you need a specific length of chain.

• To keep the finish of your jewelry looking its best, remove your chain before showering, swimming, exercising or sleeping. Avoid spraying perfumes, creams, chemicals, or other liquids directly onto your chain. Let all skin and hair products dry completely before wearing your jewelry.
• Plated and gold filled jewelry should be cleaned occasionally with a very soft chemical-free cloth. Chain can also be cleaned with a damp cloth, making sure to dry it thoroughly before wearing or storing.
• Before storing your gold-filled or plated jewelry, clean with a soft chemical-free cloth and store in an airtight container.
• Sterling silver jewelry should be cleaned with a polishing cloth made for sterling silver items.

• Most of the items for sale at Meltemi Collection are made to order at the time of purchase. Because of this, for large orders or custom orders, our processing time will be likely be greater than our usual 1- 3 days. Please contact us prior to ordering if you would like to purchase a large quantity of items.
